Ages 5–9
In this hands-on week of connection and care, young earth-keepers will explore simple ways our everyday choices can help the planet. We’ll learn to care for the clothes we already own by patching and mending — discovering that repairing what we love is a kind act toward the earth. Campers will also explore the magic of native plants as we help create a real micro-prairie in the oak grove, supporting birds, insects, and healthy soil. Through stories, art, and outdoor exploration, children will build confidence as caretakers of the natural world and deepen their sense of connection with the land.
Ages 10–12
This week invites older campers to step into thoughtful stewardship — exploring how our everyday choices shape the health of the ecosystems we love. We’ll look closely at the environmental impact of clothing and fast fashion, and learn practical ways to care for what we already own: repairing, patching, re-dyeing, and celebrating garments with stories rather than throwing them away. Campers will also dive into the rich world of native plants and habitat restoration as we design and plant a micro-prairie in the oak grove — an act of healing for pollinators, soil, and community alike. Through reflection, hands-on projects, and quiet time outdoors, students will deepen their sense of belonging to the natural world, developing both knowledge and heart-centered commitment to living gently on the earth.
