Teas, Tinctures, and Herbal Remedies (August 3-7; 9am-3pm daily)

$340.00

Ages 5–9

Young herbalists are invited into a world of gentle magic, where the garden becomes a place of stories, scents, and healing traditions. Throughout the week, campers will meet common flowers and herbs — smelling, tasting (when safe), and learning how people have used plants for comfort and care for generations. We’ll mix calming teas, make simple poultices, and create nature-inspired “potions” using food-safe ingredients like honey, herbs, and warm water. Children will practice listening to the land, showing gratitude for what we gather, and working gently with plants. This camp blends playful imagination with real-world learning, helping young campers feel connected, grounded, and confident in the natural world.

Ages 10–12

In this hands-on week of herbal exploration, campers will step into the role of apprentice herbalists, learning how people across cultures have used common garden plants to support wellness. Students will practice identifying herbs by scent and shape, learn safe harvesting and drying techniques, and create practical plant-based remedies such as infused oils, salves, and balms. We’ll explore the science of extraction, basic plant chemistry, and the importance of sustainable, ethical gathering. Campers will leave with useful handmade creations, a deeper understanding of herbal traditions, and a thoughtful respect for the living systems that support us.
